2026 Funding Priority Areas
Projects that fall within the following priority areas will be given special consideration during the 2026 funding round.
On-ground Projects for Rescued Farm Animals
Initiatives that directly improve the welfare, safety, and long-term care of rescued farm animals - including infrastructure, enrichment, rehabilitation, and emergency support.
Education to Advance the Phase-out of Battery Cages
Educational projects aimed at increasing awareness, reducing consumer confusion, and accelerating national progress toward eliminating battery cages in Australia.
Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from organisations that meet our core criteria and share our commitment to animal welfare.
Eligibility Criteria
Registered organisation
Applicants must be a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation in Australia.
Operational in Australia
Projects and activities must primarily benefit animals within Australia.
Clear Objectives
Proposals must have clear, measurable objectives and expected outcomes aligned with animal welfare.
Financial Viability
Demonstrate sound financial management and a detailed, realistic budget for the proposed project.
Application Requirements
Project Proposal
A comprehensive document detailing your project, methodology, and expected impact.
Organisational Capacity
Evidence of your organisation's experience, team, and ability to deliver the project.
Accountability Plan
Outline how you will track progress, measure outcomes, and report on the use of funds.
Innovation & Sustainability
Highlight any innovative aspects and how the project will be sustained beyond our funding.
Post‑Approval Requirements
Once approved, recipients must fulfil the following to finalise their grant.
To demonstrate project success, recipients must submit the following:
- Reporting: Half-yearly progress reports.Due: 30 days after 30 September (same year) and 30 March (following year).
- Project Reports: Provide adequate information to demonstrate how the project has achieved its goals, including:
- Photos/Video footage: high-quality images or video (where relevant).
- Media/Communications: organise any publicity activities under recipient name, acknowledging the Fund on all materials.
- Acknowledgement text (use text that is applicable): include on all media and/or communication materials:
